Chemical Simulation Workshop
Introduction
An extremely informative workshop for students, who are very enthusiastic about pursuing any career in Chemical Engineering, be it either Designing or Production.
With the computer aid, you get an opportunity to play around visually with reactors and are free to tinker around with its design according to your interest.

Workshop Outline
“ASPEN PLUS” software is used for the workshop.
The workshop will be conducted in two days. It will be divided into two parts:
1. Instructions on Simulation.
2. Laboratory Sessions.
Day 1:
Lecture on: Introduction to Steady State Process Simulation.
Lab Session 1: Property Estimation; Estimation of VLE and Bubble and Dew point Calculations.
Simulation of Mixers, Splitters, Component Separators and Heat Exchangers.
Handling Sensitivity Analysis and Design Specifications.
Day 2:
Lab Session 2: Simulation of Flash Columns and Reactors and Reactor Design;
Material and Energy balance calculations.
Design of Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers.
Lab Session 3: Distillation Column Design.

General Details
(i) The Workshop is designed targeting students of chemical engineering .
(ii) A proper hands on session will be conducted so that the participants get a practical experience of working with the software and getting good exposure.
(iii) The workshop duration will be spanning over two days. Also some time is exclusively left for Interactive Session, Problem Discussion and discussing new ideas etc.
(iv) Number of participants in a team should be two.
(v) For all the students, the charges of the workshop are 
250 /- per person
(vi) NOTE: For outstation participants attending workshops, who wish to seek hospitality in Technozion 2011, you must register for Technozion hospitality(which includes your accommodation, food and events) along with the workshop. Late registrations and on spot registrations for hospitality for workshop participants will be not be entertained strictly.
(vii) You will have to submit two separate DD's, one for workshop and one for the hospitality registration simultaneously.
Registration Details
(i) The workshop DD for 250/- has to be drawn in favour of "Technozion", payable at Warangal.The DD's must be taken only in Nationalized banks.
(ii) The Hospitality registration DD for 700. /- has to be drawn in favour of "Technozion", payable at Warangal, for those who registered for Technozion hospitality.
(iii) The names of the participants, their contact numbers, college names must be specified on back of both the DD's taken. This is mandatory.The address for sending the DD's is given below:

(iv) Make sure that you send your DD's at the earliest after receiving the acknowledgement mail so that we can confirm your registration. A confirmation mail will be sent to you as and when we receive your DD's ****

How To Register
If you are interested in attending this ASPEN PLUS Simulation workshop, please follow the steps mentioned below:
(i) Get yourself registered in the link given below.
(ii) After you fill in all the details, you will receive an acknowledgement mail within 24hrs. This mail contains,
• The workshop registration form.
• Hospitality registration form (for those who registered for hospitality).
(iii) You will have to submit the filled forms in reply to the acknowledgement mail.
(iv) We will send you the confirmation mail for your registration if the DD number mentioned in the registration form matches the DD number in the original DD.
(v) It is mandatory that you bring the print out of the confirmation mail and also the Xerox of the original DD at the time of Technozion.
