Robo Shooter
Introduction
The death toll for the major border wars are numerous, many of our soldiers and officials of our country has to face these problems. Though the bravery and courageousness of the soldiers is irreplaceable, having robots taking these risks is a great idea on any day.
Problem Statement
The problem statement is to build a wired/wireless robot that can act as a soldier. The robot has to navigate through all the obstacles and reach checkpoint and able to shoot the targets. Points will be given according to the number of target hit and according to the points of the target.
Bot Specifications
- · The robot should fit in a box of 50cms*40cms box.
- · The height of the bot should not exceed 100cms.
- · The robot must be remote controlled either wired or wireless.
- · The power source must not exceed 12V DC and the source can be on board or off board.
- · The robot should not damage the arena during its game play.
- · Readymade gearboxes and chassis can be used and no readymade kits for throwing mechanism should be used.
- · The BALL GIVEN for the game play is TABLE TENNIS BALL.
Rules
- · Each team can consist maximum of 4 members.
- · Team members can be from different colleges.
- · No teams should have a common participant.
- · Decision of the event manager is final.
- · Spirit of participation is expected from participants.
Game play
Round1
- · The bot has to travel through the different terrain and reach the check point.
- · From there the bot has to shoot the targets
- · The bot can go multiple times to the checkpoint by loading another ball coming back to the starting point.
- · Each team is given 3min of time, so as the team has to score the maximum it can.
- · The height of the targets will be below 1.5meters and will be 1.5meters far.
Round2
- · Only the qualified teams in the first round will participate in this round.
- · In this round again the bot has to travel to the check point but on a different terrain.
- · Now here the bot has to shoot the targets that are aerially separated.
- · The bot can go multiple times to the checkpoint by loading another ball coming back to the starting point.
- · Each team is given 4min of time to perform the task.
- · The targets will be placed at a distance of 1meter to 3meters
Round3
- · In this round some of the targets are in motion and the bot has to aim the targets.
- · More points will be given for the hits of moving targets.
- · The position of the targets would be same as in the second round but will be moving horizontally.
Judging Criteria
Round1
· 50 points will be given when it hits the centre of the target.
· 40, 30, 20 points will be awarded respectively on hitting the outer rings of the target.
Round2
· 150 points will be given if the ball hits the farthest target.
· 100 points if it hits the middle one and 50 points for nearest target.
Round3
· Points will be given according to the game play and the target distance at the time of event.
WINNING CRITERIA
· The team with maximum points by summing up in both round 2 and round 3.
· The decision of the event manager is final.
